I'm not sure how that would work with their choice of DRM. But if it could work, then yeah, absolutely! That's why I was tuning a Softube fork of VCV might be more feasible.Better still just make all the softube modules work in VCV Rack- they are fighting a modular host battle they cant win...The Softube Modular integration would be an incredible value-add if using Softube modular didn't feel like paying someone to kick me in the balls.I like the CS-80 V too, but another factor for me is that I’m a Softube Modular user and it’s worth it to get the Model 77 modules.
The workflow is just so clumsy and bad I never fire it up anymore. They really ought to "borrow" the ergonomics of VCV Rack, including easy polyphony, drag and drop, better browsing or try to license VCV code. Heck, isn't it open source? They could probably build their own Softube only version using the VCV codebase. But I digress.
