$230 to upgrade Ableton live to run on new Mac OS and Win10. Welp crud!
VSL I can go iLoc but lose some of the software that I can to upgrade that’s another $200. <Face palm>
Nexus was a relatively cheap upgrade so off license on that now.
I miss my old hardware studio, sold everything off that I could to be in the box on Apple Macintosh and PC, now I’m beholden to obituary software licenses and OS improvements and forced upgrades.
Just got notice of Microsoft Office 365 subscription price upgrade due to AI Copilot. Dumped that for open office . Grrrrrrrr.
Welcome to capitalism at it’s finest. I’ve let go of being angry, just shake my head in dismay at the state of things. It’s frustrating though. Least I have my $12 pack of cigs and my $12 dozen eggs. Time to reass what is important and affordable. Music production is becoming a very low priority these days. Sheesh so crazy.
