Incorrect. They still all sound better to me, and Diva clearly can't sound better than Diva. I'm not saying it would sound like that to everyone, but, to me, Diva isn't at the top-tier anymore, sonically. It's close, though (which proves it used to be very much ahead of its time). The only problem with your theory is that DIVA due to the fact it's semi modular in nature and is not emulating any specific vintage synth is able to make sounds they can'tAll the Softube (regular sales)I'm curious. Wich one?No one needs Diva, either, because there's cheaper software synths that sound better
Some other uhe (depends on sales)
All the gforce (except maybe the minimonsta, regular sales)
Twin3 (depending on if you have other FF, sales)
etc
... all sound as good or better to me. I simply didn't enjoy using Diva and thought the sound was no longer the best, and I wanted what I thought best. Diva wasn't for me.
What they don't have is the flexibility of Diva in terms of mixing components (Twin3 has its own kind of flexibility as it isn't an emulation).
If/when uhe make improvements, I'll absolutely demo the new version.
I have all the synths from U-he, and GForce, and most of the ones from Softube
I can make sounds with DIVA they can't do and they can do sounds that DIVA can't do
There is no better or worse just different tools for different things
The good news is for less than the cost of most vintage hardware synths and most non Behringer modern analogs you can buy all of them
I get the tools that sound best to me and (mostly) don't compromise on that. If Diva sounds just as good to you, that's awesome. Use it, and enjoy. But, then, this thread isn't for you anymore, is it?
