The problem with Challenge Response is that you are relying on a server being functional in the future for it to workWhat copy protection do you prefer, then?Personally my vote goes to Sylenth, but I did check out the Nexsyn audio demos, they do sound good, but I won't consider it because of the challenge / response copy protection. I also really like the sound of the Korg Legacy bundles but again, the copy protection method... Korg & KeyToSound just lost a sale.Nexsyn is the most analog sounding vsti ever.
Ilok is much more restrictive than C/R. The only other option is straight serial, and that isn't copy protection. Why is C/R such an issue? You simply enter a code, connect to the net, and you're registered. Never have to do it again, unless you change motherboards.
Sorry, I just can't see how it's such an issue - but that's just me.
And yes, we did make the most analog sounding synth, ever. Thank you for mentioning us Max!
I build a new PC every 18-24 months, if the server goes down because your company goes bankrupt what do I do then?
With iLock my software keys are on a USB thumb drive. I am not reliant on a server somewhere everytime I build a new PC or upgrade my motherboard
If you really wanted people to have a flexible system what Plogue does is awesome. You buy the software and they email your license as an image file. Then you can back up the installation files on your drive as well as the image file
Run the software and drag and drop the image file into it. Boom you are done
